Oudorp itself
Oudorp is a village and district in the municipality of Alkmaar. For a long time, Oudorp was also an independent municipality, but during the reorganization on October 1, 1972, Oudorp was added to Alkmaar. Oudorp is therefore attached to Alkmaar, but is separated from it by the canal that continues to the Alkmaardermeer.

Oudorp has everything, despite being close to the big city. Here you will find several primary schools, a shopping center with a bakery, drugstore and supermarket, and a really nice playground association where the children can enjoy themselves for hours!

Oudorp is within walking distance of the city center of Alkmaar. The Nieuwe Schermerweg is located directly next to the village, which will take you to the A9 in no time. Handy if you work further.

Sights and excursions in Oudorp
Of course you can walk straight into the city center of Alkmaar where you can enjoy yourself for hours by shopping, having a snack and a drink on the terrace or visiting the cheese museum, but Oudorp itself also has a lot to offer, such as the St. Laurentius Church, a beautiful national monument. which was included in the list of monuments in 2002.
The church bridge, popularly called chicken bridge, runs over the Schermerringvaart. Many young people cool off here in the summer by taking an exciting dip in the canal.
A visit to Oudorp also includes a visit to the Munnickenweg. A road consisting entirely of cobblestones, or ''cobblestones''. There were also two forced castles on this road that were built in the 13e century were built. Now only the contours of the Nieuwburg can be seen, which are marked by walking paths.
