Koedijk is a village in North Holland, largely located in the municipality of Alkmaar and partly in the municipality of Dijk en Waard. Due to the expansion of the city of Alkmaar, Koedijk has now grown into the city. Despite this, Koedijk is still a village.

The Dijkloop is a well-known running competition for enthusiasts in every age category. Participants can choose from different distances: the kids run (600 meters and 1,5 km), the 6 km and the quarter marathon. A beautiful course over the dike, through the polder and nature reserves with the start and finish in the village center.

The JOL, Youth Under Guidance Koedijk, is a carpentry village during the summer holidays for children from 6 to 12 years old. The children can build huts here for a week under supervision. In addition to carpentry, various activities are organized. 60 enthusiastic volunteers take the lead during this week and help where necessary.

Gondola ride Koedijk is the largest gondola ride in the Netherlands, a real spectacle on the water. Boats are then transformed into stage performances. This parade passes you by on the North Holland Canal. The village is then lit with lights, the facades are beautifully decorated and the gardens are also decorated.

As I already indicated, Geestmerambacht is a popular recreation area. Not only can you enjoy nature here, the activities are also endless. For example, think of a summer afternoon on the water, going for a nice swim and then turning on the barbecue in the evening. Do you like some action?
