Egmond-Binnen itself
Egmond-Binnen, like Egmond aan Zee and Egmond aan den Hoef, is a village in the municipality of Bergen in the province of North Holland. The village is quietly located on the edge of the dunes, between Heiloo and Egmond aan Zee. Egmond-Binnen is best known for the Sint-Adelbert Abbey, which is also the oldest abbey in Holland! The remains of Saint Adelbert of Egmond rest under the altar of the abbey church.
In addition to the many nice B&Bs in Egmond-Binnen, you can also rent bicycles to cycle around the dunes. Egmond-Binnen has a cozy village street with nice shops and various catering establishments.
Do you want to visit Egmond-Binnen by public transport? That is also possible, because there is a bus from Heiloo to the village. Egmond-Binnen is located directly on the N512 exit road.
Egmond-Binnen is an excellent area for walking and cycling, as there are many flowering bulb fields to admire in the spring. Besides the bulb fields in the spring, you can of course enjoy the beautiful dunes in Egmond-Binnen every season.
As I already indicated, Egmond-Binnen is mainly known for the St. Adelbert Abbey, which is definitely recommended to visit. A very imposing building. One of the most unique shops in Egmond can be found in Egmond-Binnen. A shop called Egmond Abbey, where you can find books, candles and other nice things!
