NVM Audit to be proud of
Uncorking the champagne is something we usually leave to our customers. But this time we're having a party ourselves.
We received a visit from a colleague. He did not come for coffee, but for an audit on behalf of the NVM.
The NVM monitors the quality of all affiliated real estate agents and appraisers. Since 2018, they have been doing this with peer audits, among other things. An experienced real estate agent from another region will spend a day with you and test the office against the NVM standards. Not based on theory and sweet talk, but by looking at practice.
On February 9, 2022 the time had come
Every NVM member receives an audit once every 3 years. And now it was our turn. The real estate agent is already at the door at 9:00 in the morning. Exciting!
She tells us what we can expect from the audit and what conclusions can be drawn from it. Each part is rated, from 'adequate' to, well, lousy.
In the hours that follow, we receive a real fire of questions. How do we store all the information? How does the collaboration work? How do we communicate with customers? How does the bidding process work?
She sifts through files, looks at our online environment, talks to employees and customers, and assesses our office.
We answer enthusiastically. And offer him good coffee.
And then – the results
We are, of course, satisfied with our services. We are truly committed to our customers, and work expertly and with pleasure. But yes, is that also what the auditor saw? Or are we still making mistakes?
Fortunately, the final conclusion is clear: we have been awarded the title 'Excellent'! We are of course very proud of that. Although we are actually even happier with the conclusions in the final interview, where we receive compliments about our job satisfaction, our good knowledge and clear communication with customers.
Because that's what we do it for. Assisting our customers in a pleasant and professional manner with the purchase and sale of their home. And now we can demonstrate that we are really doing that well.
So that champagne? This time it was for us. Cheers!
