How the success story started…
Michael and Esther's search for their first home started at the end of 1. Their housing wishes? A single-family home, with two bedrooms, preferably in Alkmaar, with a garden and a quiet neighborhood. They signed up for newsletters from real estate agents, notifications from Funda and later also used their own network to find a house. After about 2018 viewings, five bids and 20 years later, they asked themselves the question:

What is quite a job is modernizing and making the electricity and data of a home more sustainable. An application to Liander for electrical adjustments can easily cost €400. Take this into account in your calculation for purchasing the home.
Esther: do a building inspection before you buy a home. Such an inspection provides peace and security and means that buyers will not be faced with unexpected costs. And that is certainly nice for a handyman home. And: assume extra costs! Assume that approximately 10% will exceed the calculated budget.
